Private Finance Kit Local-first money tools

Terms of service

Terms of Service

Read the Private Finance Kit terms for acceptable use, local browser processing, no warranty, privacy-safe feedback, and user responsibility for exported files.

Private Finance Kit is provided as a free browser-based organization toolkit. These terms explain acceptable use, local processing, exported-file responsibility, and important tool limits.

Use of the site

Private Finance Kit is provided as a free browser-based organization toolkit. By using the site, users agree to use it responsibly and only for lawful personal, family, professional, or business organization purposes.

Users are responsible for the information and files they choose to enter, paste, import, export, store, print, share, or delete. Original files should be kept until any repaired CSV, XLSX report, encrypted backup, or organized ZIP output has been verified.

  • Do not use the tools for unlawful activity
  • Do not upload or submit private files through feedback forms
  • Do not rely on generated outputs without reviewing them
  • Keep originals until exports are verified

Local processing and exported files

The app is designed so workbook data, statement text, CSV contents, and selected document-pack files are processed locally in the browser. The site can generate files such as XLSX workbooks, encrypted backups, repaired CSV files, reports, print pages, and ZIP packs.

Downloaded files are the user's responsibility after creation. They should be protected with appropriate storage, encryption, access control, backups, and deletion practices. If an encrypted-backup passphrase is lost, InCase File cannot recover the file.

  • Generated files may contain sensitive information
  • Encrypted files require the correct passphrase
  • Plaintext exports should be stored carefully
  • Shared devices and browser extensions can affect privacy

No warranty

The tools are provided as-is and may contain bugs, parsing mistakes, browser compatibility issues, layout problems, export limitations, or inaccurate classifications. Results depend on the browser, device, input format, and user review.

The subscription planner, loan checker, statement analyzer, CSV Doctor, document pack builder, and workbook checks are best-effort organization aids. They do not guarantee that a statement was parsed correctly, a subscription decision is financially right, a loan estimate matches a lender schedule, a CSV will be accepted by another system, a document pack is complete, or a family handoff file is legally sufficient.

Changes

The site, tools, guide content, terms, privacy policy, and disclaimers may be updated as the product improves. Continued use of the site means the user accepts the current version.

If a change affects how private data is handled, the public Privacy page should be updated to explain that boundary before users rely on the feature.
